Juliet's monologue

This document is an extract from Shakespeare's play. It was taken from the famous Balcony Scene (Act II, Scene 2).We can see Juliet's monologue. It is written in old English ("thou", "art", "thy", "thee"), but we can understand that she is thinking of Romeo and that she is suffering from the conflict between the Montague and the Capulet families.

This document is an article from the fictional newspaper "Verona Times". It was written on Monday, October 20th, 1597. We know that it is not an authentic document because there were no coloured newspaper in the 16th century !It tells the fight between Mercutio MONTAGUE and Tybalt CAPULET with swords. Romeo tried to stop the fight, but Mercutio was finally killed. So Romeo killed Tybalt. Romeo fled.
