Peripheral ganglia are responsible for reflex control and primary sensory processing of special organs, gasteropods have elaborate defense systems or cephalopods. They have developed balance receptors, body position receptors analogous to the lateral line of pelagic fish, and very remarkable photoreceptor skills; They can also identify textures.

Special sense
Large variation in size (0.3 mm more than one meter long) and shapes.
Size
its feeding is very varied according to its subtype within the species among these subtypes are the filters which feed on microscopic microorganisms floating in the water (algae, protozoa, and particles)
Feeding
The mollusks have the body divided into 3 parts: The head (it has the mouth and the tentacles), the foot (it serves to move them) and the mantle (protects the area of the viscera).

Mollusks havent got scales, their skin is protected by a shell. Some mollusks walk or crawl along the seabed, others usually float or swim.

HÁBITAT
Most mollusks are marine animals; some are found in shallow coastal areas and others live in the deepest parts of the ocean. Most live in the bottom sediments, though the cephalopods are primarily free-swimming species. Some mollusks have been found at depths of 2,200 feet (670 meters) or more, in regions where molten volcanic sediments come in contact with the cold ocean waters. Mollusks also inhabit most freshwater and terrestrial habitats on Earth.

CAMOUFLAGES
All mollusks have an external protection called shell, which has different shapes and parts, depending on the species. The shell is produced by the mantle, through its epithelial cells. It is also called exoskeleton because it is an external structure.Depending on the type of shell the mollusks are:Bivalves .: Its shell is formed by two leaflets or parts, joined by an elastic ligament that allows the parts to open or close.Gastropods: Its shell is formed by a single piece asymmetrically and spirally wound.Molluscs that do not have a shell are called nudibranchs.
Active camouflage is used in several groups of animals, including reptiles on land, and cephalopod molluscs and flatfish in the sea. Animals achieve active camouflage both by color change and (among marine animals such as squid) by counter-illumination, with the use of bioluminescence.
PRotection
.As for its predators, in addition to octopuses and some gastropods, starfish, crabs and lobsters stand out, fish such as rays or chimeras with their teeth adapted to grind clams, birds that worship snails land and freshwater and especially man
