PART A BY: KATIA
Are reptiles of the order Testudines and of the suborder Cryptodira
WHAT IS A SEA TURTLE
Green sea turtle Leatherback turtle Loggerhead turtle Hawksbill sea turtle Olive ridley sea turtle Kemp's ridley sea turtle
TIPES OF TURTLES
Sea turtles haven't got teethThey have better vision inside the water than outsideTheir ears are covered with skin
CARACTERISTICS
BEHAVIOUR
Sea turtles are generally not considered sociable animals
PART B BY. IKER.V
Land turtles are herbivores; those of fresh water, carnivorous and those of sea, omnivorous. Sea turtles eat coral, which supplies them with calcium, aquatic vegetation, algae, and the most carnivorous eat small invertebrates or octopuses, the trunk turtles eat jellyfish.
THE DIET OF THE SEA TURTLES
Green turtles are more likely to swallow plastic that resembles their natural algae diet Sea turtles are primarily visual predators, able to choose food by size and shape, and in this study we found strong evidence that green turtles prefer plastic of certain sizes, shapes, and colors.
ANATOMY OF THE SEA TURTLES
The shell is the only plate that covers the turtles dorsally. It is made up of bone plates or osteoderms of dermal origin and covered with scales of epidermal origin that give it strength and rigidity. The plates and scales have a different configuration.
Locomotion of the sea turtles
Land and semi-aquatic turtles have legs with which they move through the ground. Sea turtles evolved by transforming their legs into flippers, with which they can move through the water quickly.

HABITAT
Sea turtles live in almost all oceans basins around the world; nest in and subtropicals waters. They can travel long distances to feed, and often they swim whole oceans to do so.
When threatened, they retract their head and neck into their shells, thus sheltering them from external hostilities within their mall fortress. In the majority of turtles this shell is very humid! It can be very heavy. This means that when a turtle is attacked by a predator it cannot start quickly. But what you can do is hide your legs and your head inside the shell.Their way of defending themshelves within the shell is the same as they use to hide;although there are also times that they hide among algae and rocks.
DEFENSE AND SHELTER
Every year, hundreds of sea turtles are incidentally captured by huge trawling nets and as they are discovered, they are released into the sea, most of the time lifeless or seriously injured, causing the attraction of predators.
They arte attacked by any of the following predators: killer whales, sharks, especially the tiger shark, and other types of large fish.

DEATH
LIFE
SEA
EXIT
Turtles can live 100 years but after living a lot of experiences they die
When joung, turtles explore new territories, swimming in ocasions near the beaches.
They swim out to the sea until they are out of sight
Turtles work as a team to get out from under the sand
Female turtles dig in the sand to make a nest an leave their eggs. 6 to 8 weeks later the eggs hatch
BIRTH
TURTLE LIFE CYCLE
It can take from 10 to 50 years to reach the sexual maturity of turtles, depending on the species. The breeding seasons of sea turtles generally occur during regular seasons of 2, 3 or up to 4 years. In many cases, female turtles return to the beach where they were born to spawn. In each breeding period, a turtle can lay from 1 to 8 nests
