Design thinking is a process for creative problem solving. It refers to the cognitive, strategic and practical processes by which design concepts.

1. SHORT INFORMATIONS ABOUT DESIGN THINKING

What does design thinking mean?

Design Thinking empowers even the most traditional thinker to develop new, innovative solutions to the problem at hand. Everybody can be creative by following this process – it's human-centred creativity with purpose

What is the purpose of design thinking?

The design process is iterative with ideas being progressively tested, refined and reviewed with the group's users. Everything is basing on cooperation.

What is design approach?

2. FIVE STAGES OF DESIGN THINKING

Designers are ready to generate ideas as they reach the third stage of design thinking. The solid background of knowledge from the first two phases means you can start to “think outside the box”, look for alternative ways to view the problem and identify innovative solutions to the problem statement you’ve created.

In the Define stage, you accumulate the information you created and gathered during the Empathize stage. You analyze your observations and synthesize them to define the core problems you and your team have identified so far.

This is an experimental phase, and the aim is to identify the best possible solution for each of the problems identified during the first three stages.

The first stage of the design thinking process allows you to gain an empathetic understanding of the problem you’re trying to solve, typically through user research.

Designers or evaluators rigorously test the complete product using the best solutions identified in the Prototype phase. This is the final phase of the model. Designers can then choose to return to previous stages in the process to make further iterations, alterations and refinements to rule out alternative solutions.

3. The first step of our work was ,,Local Brainstorm''

Each country had a local brainstorm about small practical problems in daily life. Some of our ideas:

4. When we chose the problem, we started thinking about necessary materials or requirements:

5. There was a lot of ideas, so we conducted a survey to make a fair decision:

The winners: dirt detector, voice control and automatic cleaning

6. Finally we could start sketching!

Our 1st sketch

Our 2nd sketch

The first, basic sketch

The second, improved sketch

Voice Control- when you want to start cleaning the table, just say the command and the voice detector will start cleaning.

Dirt detector- detects any dirt. After meal, thanks to UV rays it detects impurities and starts automatic cleaning

Automatic Cleaning- when the automatic cleaning function is activated, the coveyor belt around the table will begin to move. Plates are attached to it, so everyone will go through the "treatment plant". So, the place where the dirty plate will be rinsed with warm water under high pressure, then they will be cleaned with a special liquid (you can choose the smell), and then the plate will be dried.
