WHAT IS BLIND CRICKET?

Blind cricket is a version of the sport of cricket practiced by blind and partially sighted players. It has been governed by the World Blind Cricket Council (WBCC) since 1996.

PLAYERS

BEATERThe batter is positioned on the batting line. THROWER The thrower is the one who throws the ball to the batters, using a "bowling action". FIELDER The main task of the fielder is to recover the batted balls

POKER

Poker must not exceed 97 cm while the flat part, made of wood, must not exceed 11 cm in width. The flat part can also be covered with a protective material.

WICKETS

A wicket is made up of three wooden logs with a total width of 23 cm and a height of 71 cm, the two wooden bars are positioned above .

BALL

THE PLAYING FIELD

Cricket matches are held on a circular or oval shaped grass field. 137 m wide and 150 m long. The playing field called pitch is an area 3 m wide and 20 m long, limited by two imaginary and parallel lines.

Ajay Kumar Reddy is an Indian blind cricketer classified under B2 category who is also the current captain of the India national blind cricket team.
