Project Objectives

• Developing the skills of discussion, research, questioning and taking responsibility in global problems. • Raise awareness on combating and adapting to climate change. • Develop solutions to mitigate and adapt to the impacts of global climate change. • Ensuring the conscious and effective use of digital tools and the internet. •Developing 21st century skills such as collaborative, sharing, entrepreneurial, productive, social, communicative, cultural understanding and foreign language proficiency etc.

Working Process

Chapter 1. Beginning (January 13-February 15): Introducing of partner schools, teachers and students. Establish communication channels, international working teams. Chapter 2. What is climate change? (February 15-March 15): Identifying the project logo and slogan. Creating a common story by preparing short awareness videos about climate change and its effects in our world. Chapter 3. Adaptation And Awareness For The Climate (March 15-April 15): Water and climate change acrostic, Creating mind maps, posters and slogans about combating climate change. Discussion in forums on "Sustainable Development Goals (Goal 13.) ”and "Steps for climate change in our schools" Chapter 4. Together for the Struggle for Climate (April 15- May 30): Preparing a short song, ebook,games on combating climate change (Global warming, Carbon footprint, Water footprint, Renewable Energy, etc.). Preparing the final product with team work and creating web site. Presenting the project at school by celebrating eTwinning days..

Expected Results

▪ Awareness of climate change and its impacts on school and environment will be provided. ▪ Solution proposals on mitigation and adaptation of climate change will be discussed and developed. ▪ Students will have the ability to work collaboratively with the awareness of taking responsibility in global problems. ▪ Conscious and positive use of technology will be ensured. ▪ The development of foreign language proficiency and intercultural understanding will be supported. ▪ Work towards the development of 21st century skills will be encouraged.
