Teachers and children of Sturiale school shared with teachers and children of Ciari school music, art and crafts related to Latvian tradion and all together they worked on this topic. It was an interesting and amazing meeting.

We looked carefully at the European map and on the globe. For some of us it was the first time they watched a map...what a surprise! Very strange....how much water!

First step: where is Latvia on the map?

Looking for Latvia... a country very far from Italy!

How can we arrive there? How long did you take to get there?

We took the train and two planes then the train again! it was a very long journey!

We prepared some flowers with different type of papers

They could give their own meaning to the different masterpieces and each class chose different aspects to reproduce

Children were impressed by the colours.

Then each child tried to make his/her painting following Rothko's style.

The first step for this activity was observing and discussing (with the 5 year-old children).
