CHINCHILLA DE MONTEARAGÓN

Spain is divided into 17 Autonomous Communities and 2 Autonomous Cities. Chinchilla is in the province of Albacete, in Castilla-La Mancha.

Located in the southeast Spain, in the Iberian Peninsula, Chinchilla is a small inner town with around 4ooo inhabitants.

The sunset in every season of the year is a superb fact to enjoy with.

Settled on a hill that dominates the plain of La Mancha, the town has a remarkable castle built in the 15th Century and a beautiful medieval historic quarter.

The castle is the favourite place in town for almost all students.

In the main square we find the City Hall, wich dates from the 16th and 18th centuries and the church of Santa María del Salvador.

El cuco, a popular architecture used by people who worked the land in order to protect from rainy or heavy sunny days.

Las Cuevas del Agujero are houses dug on the erth, caves where people live in.

There is a small farm , Pepe el Morrón, where cheese is handmade.

A typical dish for snowy days, Made with potatoes, hard boiled eggs, garlic, olive oil and desalted cod.

Wine is a very important product in our area.
