USER INTERFACE
User interface is the front-end application view to which user interacts in order to use the software. User can manipulate and control the software as well as hardware by means of user interface.
WHAT IS USER INTERFACE??
- Simple interaction between user and system - Easy to understand the flow of the system. - Help to attract user to used the system by faster responsive time.
Why we need UI??
UI is broadly divided into two categories:
- Command Line Interface
- Graphical User Interface
TYPE OF USER INTERFACE
GUI provides a set of components to interact with software or hardware. Some of the element are:
- Window
- Tab
- Icon
- Slider
- Status bar
GUI Elements
A text-based command line interface can have the following elements:
- Command Prompt
- Cursor
- Command
CLI Elements
Ben Shneiderman created one of the greatest guides to solid interaction design called Designing the User Interface, which reveal his own collection of principles known as the “Eight Golden Rules of Interface Design”
