Think about the process you use to understand something.

Elaboró: Graciela Rudzik

Think about the process you use to understand something. What are essential questions? Essential questions are those questions that are essential to students learning the material they are investigating or that is being presented to them. Dr. Allen Guidry

Because you need to ask information about a person's occupation, age, job and daily activities. The purpose of a survey is to know more about the person or the group of people you are interview.

Remember that you can use different types of questions in a survey; open-ended questions, multiple-choice questions, closed-ended questions etc.. It's going to be up to you to write the questions you consider important for you to know more about a person's occupation. Before writing the questions ask yourself and answer the following questions: How do I write the questions? What information I would like to know about that person? What are some ways to learn about a person whom you would like to ask questions? Why are these questions important?

You can ask those questions to your classmates, friends or family members. You can ask questions like the following: Are you happy doing your job? How old are you? What's your gender? Which industry do you work in? What's it like working there? Remember to use the correct grammar rules and the proper auxiliary words, otherwise, people won't understand your questions. For instance the question: Which industry do you work in? Use the auxiliary word "Which" and the verb "work". Notice that the question follows grammar rules.

Before we start our activity let's practice with kahoot games. Pay attention to the different grammar structure of the different questions from the game. Ask your teacher for the kahoot code. https://curriculagrace.wixsite.com/cbtis146/first-grade-1 Activity 1. In groups of 7 choose the best questions for the survey.
