This is the first time I took a boat as big as this one. It was very impressive and exciting. The boat was very big and beautiful. There were shops.

April 8, 2019, We went to Canterbury which is a very beautiful city, steeped in history.We visited the Canterbury Tales. It was a guided tour, I had a little difficulties understanding everything because she spoke very quickly. In the street there was a lot of people. There is a very large and beautiful Cathedral. We stayed outside. There was a lot of people but a lot less than in London. In Canterbury we had a free time of one hour. I loved it because I was able to do several shops with my girlfriends. We paid for the first time in pounds.We all ate in a pub.

April 9, 2019,we went to London where we visited the National Gallery which is a large and beautiful museum very guarded and secure. There were only paintings. Then we visited Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Street. We walked a lot to get to the British Museum which is also a very nice museum. There were paintings but also sculptures with a room dedicated to Egypt. In the streets of London, there are so many people. I was impressed by old the videos screens throughout the city. London is a noisy city. There is a lot of traffic with taxis and buses.

April 10,2019, We went to Cambridge, we visited the historic center of Cambridge. There were skeletons of dinausaurs.... Then we did an orienteering race. You had to take a picture of yourself in front of the monuments. We got a little lost, so we asked questions to passersby. Then we did the punting on the Cam, there was beautiful scenery, it was really pretty. The architecture of their universities dates back to 1209, there is 810 years ago. In Cambridge, there are less people than in London.

April 11, 2019,Then,we went to London for the second time. We walked to the Westminster ( Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Westminster Hall, 10 Downing Street ). Then we saw a small change of guard. We then went on a mini cruise on the Thames at Tower Pier where we discovered the Tower Bridge, the London eye, Big Ben which unfortunately was under renovation....It was great. Then we visited Shakespeare's Globe and to finish well before returning to France we ate for the second time in a pub.

My Host Family

We discovered our families on April 8, 2019. Our family was very kind to us. They had two very cute little girls. The father left on a business trip on Tuesday and the mother is a nanny. Some days we went to the bus by taxi. We were all four in one room, it was great. For meals it was like in France except for breakfeast where there was only coffee and tea. I tried to speak english but it was difficult to understand everything.

This trip was a great experience whith many discoveries.... We laughed a lot and especially we walked a lot ( 42 km in 4 days ). It was a great trip but very tiring.
