The 17 year-old-girl who had disappeared on 23 April was found last wednesday

Last tuesday, around 19.30 pm, police was investigating the disappearance of a 17 year old girl, María Camila Montoya. The teenager had been last seen in the surroundings of the local park Egido de la Fuente. She was wearing a blue jacket, a black tracksuit and colourful sneakers.

“The whole nation mourns the loss of life, and prays for the wounded, and stands in solidarity with the Jewish community. We strongly condemn the evil of anti-Semitism, which must be defeated” said Donald Trump.

At the press conference, the city’s sheriff, William Gore, confirmed the identity of the murderer, who was a 19-year-old white man wearing an AR-15 rifle. Gore said they had found an “open letter”, signed by a person of the same name, in which he recognized his hatred of the Jews and promised to defend his European race.

The shooting was in a synagogue in Poway, and the author left one death and three people injured. Powey’s mayor, Steve Vaus, said that it was a ‘hate crime’.

One death and three injured in an attack on the synagogue in California.

The author of Saturday's shooting in a synagogue near San Diego (California), identified as John Earnest, wrote a letter on social media and admitted to be inspired by the massacre on March 15 in New Zealand.

Billie came out in 2015, with only 13 years, through the internet, where she spread her first three songs, including the popular "Ocean eyes".

Billie Eilish, the latest revelation of American pop, debuts in Spain.

Thanks to her debut album "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?", which includes songs like "You should see me in a crown" or "Bad guy", she made her first performance in Spain on March 9. The concert was in Sant Jordi Club in Barcelona, and the tickets were sold out 10 minutes after they were being released. Her next and only stop in Spain will be on September 3, in Wizink Center of Madrid.

Billie Eilish: the new paradigm

Having winning a Brit for the Best Revelation Artist, with her exceptional creative talent and her young age, this 17-year-old American singer and songwriter has become the first artist born in the 21st century who has reached number 1 on the US charts with her debut album (reaching number 2 in the spanish list).

"Instead of a challenge, the minimums are a backpack. It's as if you were alone in the pool, because I don't have the feeling of competing against the chronometer, I want to be the first. You don't know how you're doing and it's stressful...", she said. I suppose that now they will value it and will make conclusions. Setting demanding minimums leads people to chase Mireia and approach her limits, but it also involves bad things," she said.

One of the known voices is Jessica Vall, always infallible except on this occasion. Her Spanish record in the 50 breaststroke proved that she was in top form, although her marks have not lived up to what was required.

Vall:”The minimal marks are more a backpack than a challenge”

Only three swimmers met the selection criteria imposed by the technical direction of the RFEN to attend the Gwangju World Competition: Mireia Belmonte (800 and 1.500 free), Jimena Perez (1.500) and Marina Garcia (200 breaststroke). A poor balance that has awakened concern among swimmers and disappointment, the reflexion in the Federation about what has failed, less than a year and a half from the Tokyo Games 2020.

Susana Laguna is one of the organizers of the first Congress of Criminology and Women in Spain.

Susana Laguna: "Child sexual abuse is the hardest part"

Susana Laguna is a 42-year-old doctor of law, psychologist and criminologist. She is the secretary of the professional association of criminologists of the Community of Madrid, and she is also a teacher in a university in Madrid. She is a specialist in victims and speaks passionately about how is it working as a criminologist and how to deal with everything that this entails.

- How is it working every day next to death?

- Why it seems that in Spain criminologists are not well recognized?

“Sadly, there’s not a single public position that goes to criminologists, which is why it is very difficult to face gender violence. I would like to be seen and heard by politicians, they had to stop thinking that we are invisible”.

"On the one hand, it is very satisfactory because they need a lot of help. But in the other hand, it is true that it is very hard, especially if you work with women who have been sexually assaulted or with mothers or fathers who have lost their children. I had to learn how to take care of myself emotionally, and to know how to deal with it so that it doesn’t influence my personal life."

- What is it like to work with the victims?

"I’m specialized in victims of violent crimes and sometimes it is especially hard. It is a very grateful job, but the victims are somewhat forgotten. I think we always pay more attention to the aggressor. It is more stimulating, disturbing and more attention-grabbing, and that’s what makes the victim falling into the background."

- Has anyone especially touched you during your career?

“Everyone. Those that are related to child sexual abuse are the hardest ones. Since I’m a mother, it has become even harder."
