The hurricane Iday arrived to Mozambique and caused 1000 deaths and 4000 homeless.The cyclone had probably been the worst weather-related disaster ever to hit the southern hemisphere.

The bust of the emeritus king in Pinto suffered heavy damages and paintings on his head , with the colours of the republican Spanish flag.
The sculpture is located on the entrance of the biggest park in the city, that is called Juan Carlos I.
