BENEFITS OF THE SILENCE
THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE NOISE April 25, like every last Wednesday of the month of April, this day is celebrated, an activity that takes place annually worldwide, for more than 20 years, with the purpose of promoting the care of the acoustic environment at an international level.
1.THE CAUSES OF ACOUSTIC POLLUTIONThe main causes of noise pollution are those related to human activities such as transport, construction of buildings, public works and industries, among others. The OMS recommends that the highest permissible level of exposure to workplace noise be 85 dB for a maximum of 8 hours a day.
2. CONSECUENCES OF THE ACUSTIC POLLUTION-Physical effects: physiopathological reactions are those that physically affect the body in its functions and between them, when the noise produces more than 60 decibels, the most frequent are: acceleration of respiration and pulse, increase in blood pressure, decrease of digestive peristalsis, among others. Numerous studies conclude that a constant noise above 55 decibels produces changes in the hormonal and immune system that entail vascular and nervous changes, such as increased heart rate. -Psychological effects: among these we would mention stress, insomnia, lack of concentration, minor performance at work, etc. Among those who suffer much the consequences are schoolchildren whose lack of concentration, even in their own homes, makes them have a lower school performance. -Social effects: problems in communication, isolation. Faced with the inability to communicate properly, the body tends more and more to avoid communication.
3.EFECTS OF THE SILENCE ON THE BRAIN
The silence has become a good in danger of extinction or that those places in which the frenzy of modern life has not finished with the amplitude of its space and with the natural calm of its geography are now exclusive refuges, where it is still You can experience (and pay good money for) the pristine quality of silence. Silence is considered a luxury product and some people travel around the world hunting areas of silence as if they were the rarest birds.
4.HOW TO FIGHT ACOUSTIC POLLUTIONWalk through the Public Way in an orderly manner without shouting or singing.Avoid using motor vehicles unless it is essential. In this way apart from reducing noise we will be reducing atmospheric pollution by greenhouse gases. Avoid carrying out noisy activities outside daytime such as vacuuming or washing machines. Respect rest hours and night hours. Avoid putting music or television at a high volume to prevent hearing ailments both for themselves and the rest of the neighbors. Perform domestic works only in the hours established by the Ordinances or regulations.
