Marie became the first woman to be awarded the NOBEL prize.

Marie Crie´s birth name was Marie Sklodowska. She grew up with her parents that were both teachers. Her dad taught math and physics and her mom headmistress at a girl´s school. Marie was the youngest of five children. Growing up the child of two teachers, Marie was taught to read and write early. She was very bright child and did well in school. She had a sharp memory and worked hard on her studies.

The unification of Germany was a historical process that took place in the second half of the nineteenth century in Central Europe and ended with the creation of the German Empire on January 18, 1871 bringing together several previously independent states (Prussia, Bavaria, Saxony, etc. .).

Scientists came from around the world to study radioactivity with Marie. Soon dosctors found that radiology could help with curing cancer.
