Everything you need to know about registering your software!

First Time Registration

New Customer

Sage 50c Single User or Multi User Environment Ensure that the Sage software is installed at the Server for all multi-user environments, since this is where the main registration code will need to be inserted. First Time Registration

  • Install the software
  • Ensure that you have all serial numbers available which can be found on your invoice
Quick steps to register your software online
  1. Click on Help | Register your software
  2. Click next on the Welcome Screen
  3. Select Single/Server Registration, click next
  4. Tick the Register Online box
  5. Enter the Base Serial Number as it appears on your invoice
  6. Enter your Company Name [as you would like it to appear on your invoices within the software]
  7. Click next – [this will connect you to the Web Registration page]
  8. You will be required to complete Terms & Conditions
  9. The Complete Registration button will be displayed, please click on it
  10. The registration code will automatically be inserted into your software
  11. Click on Next and then Finish
Your server is now successfully registered! To register the workstations, please follow steps A&B and select Workstation Registration to proceed.

Re-Register or Upgrading your software

Existing Customer

Upgrading your Software? When upgrading your Sage software to the latest version, the following information will change.

  • When upgrading you will require the old & new Base serial number
  • You will need to enter the new Base serial number into the upgraded version. This can be found on your invoice
  • Every new or upgraded version will require a fresh installation.
  • Click here for the updated installation links
  • Registration & Serial Numbers must be updated and must correspond to the version being registered [Each version has its own unique serial number. For every new version an updated registration must happen in order to apply the new Base & Module serial numbers, which can be found on your invoice]
  • You will need to migrate your companies to the latest version after the installation and registration is complete.
  • Ensure that you have regular back-ups of your data

  1. Click on Help | Register your software
  2. Click next on the Welcome Screen

This simple process is affected by the successful renewal process where a registration code is sent to your server and activated by simply closing and reopening the software. Tip: Ensure Sage Connected Services is enabled. View Statements & Invoices: Sage 50C Customers Why hold on in a queue to request your statement & invoice. Simply login into the Reseller / Customer Zones to view or print your latest statement:

  • Go to Zones and login with your Base Serial Number and Customer number
  • Click on My Accounts | My Statement or My Renewal Invoice

Common Errors

FAQ & Common Errors The Registration Code does not correspond to the version of Pervasive This means you have the incorrect version of Pervasive installed. Please have a look at the summary screen to see the version you are registered for. Click here for assistance on how to remove and reinstall the correct version of Pervasive The Registration code entered does not correspond to the version of Pastel This means that you have installed the incorrect version of Sage, e.g. You purchased Partner but installed Xpress or vice versa. You will need to uninstall the incorrect version and install the version you have purchased You have entered the registration code incorrectly

  1. Server Pc: Please ensure the correct Base Serial Number is entered within the software when registering and that you have the correct version installed
  2. Workstation Pc: The workstations must be correctly mapped to the Server pc to retrieve the updated registration code
Where can I find my Base Serial Number & Module Serial Numbers? Open the Invoice received from Sage to view your Base & Module serial numbers What version of Sage Pastel I am using? Click on the Sage Desktop Icon to open the software At the top of the processing tabs (File, Edit, etc), the Version and Build name will be displayed If I have upgraded to the latest version, should I uninstall my previous version? It is recommended that the Desktop Shortcut is deleted instead of uninstalling the previous version If I have upgraded to the latest version, can I still use my previous version? No, you cannot use your previous version. You will need to migrate all your companies from your previous version to the latest version. Why has my Access / Pin Code changed? Your Access / Pin code will change due to one of the following reasons:
  1. Re-installation
  2. Change of Pc or Pc name
  3. Change of Company Name within the software
  4. Registering a workstation separately to the Server
  5. Upgraded to a later build or version
If my Access / Pin Code changed, can I still register online? No, you will not be able to register online Please refer your query to productreg@sage.com
