San Paio High School is a free state secondary school. There are around 650 students in our High School and 56 members of teaching staff. We offer compulsory secondary education and upper secondary education studies (Bachillerato). We are interested in innovation, creativity and multiculturalism.

In the TUITAKU manga club students work together to critique anime, provide book recommendations, create original art and stories, and engage in enthusiastic conversations about common interests. This year our high school has hosted the first Comic-Con Tuitaku and we have invited students from other high schools in the area.

Orienteering sports are another classic at IES San Paio. The P. E. Department, the federation and the local authorities of Tui and Valença do Minho actively promote participation among both students and teachers.

Escape Games are games based on the development of mental abilities, where both children and adults must solve the enigmas or problems. A story is presented, in which the user must use all its intellectual, creative and reasoning abilities to complete the plot. Last year the Department of Mathematics introduced the Mystery of the "Castro" to our students.

Being part of a cross border entity like the Eurocity Tui-Valença is an asset that cannot be overlooked. We hope to transmit our European enthusiasm to our fellow colleagues at school, to our students and their families, to our Portuguese neighbors and, why not, to the world.

AMONG OTHER THINGS, PORTUGUESE PEOPLE COME TO TUI TO LOAD THEIR TANKS AND SPANISH PEOPLE GO TO VALENÇA TO BUY TOWELS, BED LINEN, HAVE A DECENT CUP OF COFEE OR EAT "BACALHAU".

BILINGUALISM: SPANISH & GALICIAN. SOME PORTUGUESE.

THE EUROCIDADE WAS SET IN THE YEAR 2012 TO REINFORCE THE LINKS BETWEEN BOTH TOWNS ON EACH SIDE OF THE BORDER - THE BEAUTIFUL RIVER MIÑO.
