What people said about :

Sherlock Holmes’ stories are really popular and it has been adapted in cinema many times from a number of actors

"People keep making Sherlock Holmes into their own creation because he s a very malleable character. He is like Silly Putty and you can keep changing him around.“explains Kirk Honeycutt, chief film critic for The Hollywood Reporter.{Silly Putty is something like gum which means he gives the opportunity to make him anything you want} His combination of the inquisitive detective and faithful sidekick lends itself to a variety of genres and circumstances. Holmes as a character is flexible enough that he can be dropped into any sort of plot and interact with both real and fictional characters. In other words you can not get bored of him because he always has something new to offer to you.

<<But why do we still love Holmes? It has to be the combination of Sherlock’s intellect, his fascinating skills of deduction and observation, as well as the manner in which Holmes works, that draws us in. Once he becomes involved in a case, nothing else matters until it is solved. We join him, up close and personal, at a murder scene – fascinated rather than reviled>>.
