Scotland is part of the UK, which also includes England, Wales and Northern Ireland.Scotland is the most northerly country of the UK.It is joined to England on the south, the North Sea is to the east and the Atlantic Ocean to the west
Scotland has nearly 800 islands, but people only live on some of them.The most important islands are:- The Ebrides. They are located off the west coast of Scotland. - The Shetlands. They are a sub-Artic archipelago of Scotland.- The Orkneys. They are located off the north coast of Great Britain.
