PUENTE ROMANO The oldest bridge we have in Dúrcal, is popularly known as a Roman bridge, although its origin has to be dated to medieval times. Although there is no historical data that it belonged to the Roman era, very close by the path called real, which went up to what is today the village, in the payment of the sources, the remains of a Roman villa have been found so that you can associate this path as a natural passage from more inland areas to the valley, the coast, and the alpujarras

PALACIO ECHEVARRIA The Palacio de los Marqueses de Márgena, more commonly known as Palacio de los Echevarría was located in the heart of the town of Dúrcal. Although we know it was destroyed in the 1980s, we don't know exactly when their first stones were laid. Palace built by the Márgena family in the late nineteenth century. It was romantic in style as the Carmen de los Mártires de Granada, although there was a mixture of this style with elements of Greek and Roman classicism. It was a feature of the 19th-century bourgeoisie who tried to emulate and appear with their noble titles to the ancient nobility. The building was much larger and sumptuous than the one mentioned in the capital. It was surrounded by beautiful gardens covered with fountains and statues as seen in the pages we have composed. Around the gardens there was a leafy vega also from the Marquisate that turned the ensemble into a beautiful and long-lined artistic ensemble while ecological

Villa Romana de los Lavaderos The important remains, it is believed that they could have been part of an oil mill since parts of a stone press called arbor foot have been found (currently this piece can be seen in the municipal library of Dúrcal). Various pools covered with opus signinum (a mixture of a doorman of lime, sand, and small fragments of silícea rocks mixed with cement and small pieces of ceramic, which made it waterproof and used for pavements and deposit coatings) so experts said it could be part of an oil mill. The ceramic materials found date from between the 1st century BC, until the 4th century, although it is not ruled out that it had subsequently continued to be used. You can now see mules of different wingspan, two structures in section V, one of which would be part of a large amphora and the other had ash in the background, probably for the potter yarn industry.

This line needed to cross the River Dúrcal15 and the purchase and transfer of the Gor viaduct, abandoned for a decade, was raised. This task was tasked with the German company Dormunde Union that disassembled the parts and reinstated them in their current place on July 18, 1923.16 15 It was only necessary to increase the height of the batteries (running this elongation in concrete but imitating the latticework metals) and shorten the vains. It was in service until 1974 without any incident.
