REFERENCES

• Audio should be audible, good quality, & include transcripts
• Videos have closed captions, ideal length is 5-7 minutes
• Resolution appropriate for viewing 640 x 360 SD or 1280 x 720 HD

• Link text should be meaningful e.g. My Grades instead of "Click Here"
• Avoid using color to convey meaning and emphasize important information
• Font size at least 14 pt, use Sans serif fonts, such as Helvetica, Arial, Tahoma
• Consistent heading styles & table headers

• Use Alt text, or captions, or descriptive text adjacent to the image
• Avoid using images as text, no PDFs that are scanned images
• Appropriate color contrast for color blindness

Definition of Accessible “Accessible” means a person with a disability is afforded the opportunity to acquire the same information, engage in the same interactions, and enjoy the same services as a person without a disability in an equally effective and equally integrated manner, with substantially equivalent ease of use. The person with a disability must be able to obtain the information as fully, equally and independently as a person without a disability.
