-ELDERLY-DISABILITY-GENDER-ETHNICITY

-IMMIGRATION-SEXUAL IDENTITY-RELIGION

The International Day of Elderly is on the 2nd of October.Five words that can make me think of elderly are:

ELDERLY

- Love- Long-lived- Grandparents- Expert- Dampness

There are some difficulties in order to elderly. For example, at local level there is not respect to them or, more generally, the elder people suffer loneliness.

I think that we should see them as a resoure, because they are rich in experience and they can teach us a lot of things.The government doesn’t do enough not to leave them alone. To lighten their loneliness, we can spend more time with old people not to make them feel lonely.

The International Day of disability is on the 3rd of December. Five words that make me think of disability are:-Hospital-Barriers-Crutches-Equality-Paralympic games

DISABILITY

Disabled people are not easly accepted by other people, because they have difficulty performing normal daily actions. Moreover they are not integrated into society.

There should be more education and respect andgovernment should do an integration policy and more investments in infrastructures.

The International Day of women is on the 8th of March.Five words that can make me think of gender are:-Women-Man-Respect-Equality-Rights

GENDER

There was never a parity between women and men. In our society, women are not allowed to do what they want and they are mistreated.

In my opinion, there should be forms of collaboration and associations to enhance women skills. Moreover politicians should take the most effective measures to ensure equal chances to women.

The International Day of ethnicity is on the 21st of March. Five words that make me think of ethnicity are:-Food-Culture-Traditions-Race-Clan

ETHNICITY

Foreigners are considered a danger. Wrongly we think that the immigrants arrive in Italy to take away our jobs and we see them as uncivilized and violent.

We should identify ourselves with people seeking refuge and protectionAt global level, Chinese market has become a new reality because it has changed the world of economy. It is necessary to increase the competitiveness of Italian companies.

The International Day of immigration is on the 18th of December.Five words that make me think of immigration are:-Travel-Homeless-Foreign-Black-Difficulty

IMMIGRATION

Luckily, in our town we haven’t problems with immigrants. In Sannicandro there are a lot of foreign families perfectly integrated.We have to continue to promote integration involving these people more and more in the life of our town.

At national level, instead, immigrants are too many and the facilities existing in Italy are not enough to host all of them.A possible solution can be an equal distribution of foreigners in the various European countries.

The International Day of sexual identity is on the 11th of October. Five words that make me think of sexual identity are:-Gay-Bisexual-Trans-Lesbian-Shame

SEXUAL IDENTITY

Homosexual people are ashamed of showing themselves in public places. They are excluded by other people and suffer from bullying at school.

It should be more solidarity and less mistrust.Institutions should promote education to respect with training interventions.

The International Day of religion is on the 20th of January.Five words that make me think of religion are:-Church-Catholic-Mosque-Islam-Faith

RELIGION

At local level, luckily we don’t have any type of problems. In Sannicandro there are some religious comunities and each of them freely professes his religion.

At national level, the religion of the hosting countries is not respected. We have to protect our religion and our beliefs.
