We first came across this ditch and droveway when excavating Kiln 2 in 2016. It can be seen running north/south to the right of the green marks which are at the positions of the kilns.Geophysics shows us that the droveway continues through the trees to the south and on to the lake. You can imagine the settlers taking the cattle backwards and forwards to the stream that would have run there in Roman times.
