Wildfire Training Solutions Inc
Lorby Comms Server
The Server application is the central hub for the client software to connect too. This is also where the Clients recieve the channel and frequency information for the host agency.
The Server is setup by each agency to mimic their own internal radion communication system. This allow for seamless cross boarder training between agencies. The hosting agency simply runs the server and all personel joining the incident will have the correct channel and frequencies loaded into their client application.

Server
The server application can be run on the same computer that is running the Lorby Instructor Station. Only one instance of the server is required, the client modules will all connect to this server using the IP address and Port number you have provided them.
As Clients are connected, they will appear in the Client list. Connecting to the server will automatically updated each Clients radio and Sat phone channel and frequency list.

Shuts down the Server and closes the application. You will receive one warning prior to shut down.
All Clients connected to the server will appear in this this.

Recordings
The Server can record all of the radio communication that are trasmitted across the network including the intercom if required. The recording can be either a single channel MP3 or a Multichannel recording. The multichannel recording will allow you to isolate a specific channel during playback when required.

The text will disappear and you are ready to mark another location when required.

In voice over IP (VOIP), a jitter buffer is a shared data area where voice packets can be collected, stored, and sent to the voice processor in evenly spaced intervals. Variations in packet arrival time, called jitter, can occur because of network congestion, timing drift, or route changes. The jitter buffer, which is located at the receiving end of the voice connection, intentionally delays the arriving packets so that the end user experiences a clear connection with very little sound distortion.

Satphone Numbers
Satellite phones have become a key communication tool in todays wildfire environment. We have developed a basic satellite phone system that allows you to simulate this powerful tool.

JukeBox
We have broken down the radio traffic chatter into two main categories, ATC and Fireline.
Busy radio networks is the norm during wildfire season. Lorby Comms Server Jukebox attempts to simulate this environement by introducing pre-recorded radio chatter into the network on specific radio channels.
