  • Mercury is the planet nearest the Sun.
  • Mercury is small and very heavy.
  • Mercury is made of rocks and metals.

The Sun

  • The Sun is the star of our Solar System.
  • The planets move around the Sun.
  • The Sun is able to shine and heats by itself.

Venus

  • Venus is the second planet nearest the Sun.
  • Venus is made of rocks.
  • We can see Venus in Summer.

The Earth

  • The Earth is the third planet nearest the Sun.
