The main enclosure is Palacio de los Arrayanes, at both sides of the yard there are arrayanes.There are water and this reflect the palace.

INSIDE

In the courtyard of the Arrayanes highlights the tower of Comares, it is the widest and highest room in the palace.It is a place with a very rich poetic content.

El álgebra surgió en Egipto y en Babiloniahace unos 4000 años.En el siglo XVI los egipcios desarrollaron un álgebra muy simple, se utilizaban ecuaciones de primer grado.Sin embargo en Egipto fueron capaces de resolver ecuaciones lineales, cuadráticas e indeterminadas con varias incógnitas.

Los números arábigos son los símbolos más utilizados para representar números y se llaman así porque los árabes lo introdujeron en al-Ándalus.En realidad, los árabes no los inventaron, ya que estos símbolos surgieron antes en la India.

Este avance es uno de los más destacados en las matemáticas.

Al- Khwarizmi era considerado el padre de las matemáticas.Nació en Bagdad, en el califato Abasí.Practicaba el Islam.Era matemático, astrónomo, geógrafo, filósofo, traductor, astrólogo e historiador.

Al-Karaŷí era un ingeniero y un matemático de alto nivel.Se apoyó en trabajos de matemáticos anteriores, consiguió librar el álgebra de la geometría y construyó la base del álgebra de hoy en día.

Tales of the Alhambra

The king Aben Habuz, king of Granada loved the princess from Guadix, an old astrologer said that the princess was dangerous. But the king spent a lot of money in the princess.The people of Granada became angry, they said that the princess controlled the king.The king was worried so he asked to the astrologer what should he did. The astrologer said "get rid of her, give her to me!". But the king could not do that.The astrologer told the king about the magic garden. He told to the king "I can make a paradise like that and the people won´t find you, there you can live with your maiden, but one thing, the first creature to enter in the garden must be mine." And the king agree.

Washington Irving

Washington was the youngest of eleven brothers, his father was a rich merchant. Since he was a child he developed a huge pasion for the books, but his interests was the periodism and the literature.He was born on 3 April, 1783 in New York and died on 28 November 1859, when he was 76 years old.Between 1802 and 1803 he started to write some articles for the newspaper Morning´s Chronicles; edited by his brother Peter.In 1818 he started to dedicate to the literature.After the dead of his mother he moved to Europe.Irving was the first North American to became very famous by the literature.
