VetSpec Country Pursuits Area From fly fishing competitions in the ponds to gun dog demonstrations in the arena, there’s a packed programme showcasing the best of the countryside including falconry displays and Game Cookery Theatre.

Hives and HoneyTake a look inside a beehive or take in the competitive classes for a range of honey products, from jars of honeyand wax to cakes, confectionary, mead, wine and beer!

Sheep Shearing Watch how the professionals do it! Shearing and wool wrapping demonstrations take place each day.

Big Wheel See the show from way up high. You won’t miss the Big Wheel where you can capture a panoramic snapshot of the Showground (Charges apply)

Agricultural Machinery Giant tractors and the latest crop sprayers are just some of the machines and cutting edge equipment on display and up for sale in the machinery lines.

Forestry Take a walk through the woods and see demonstrations on hedge laying, horse logging, chainsaw carving along with a display of previous winners works from the Woodland Photography competition plus much more!

The Forge Sparks fly and fires roar as the drama of farriers at work fills this corner of the showground. See all the action as champions go head to head in the traditional art of shoe making and shoeing.

Discovery Zone Children and teenagers have the chance to get hands on, interactive and learn more about food, farming and the countryside. Find Out More

Rabbits, Pigeons and Egg Show Hundreds of rabbits, pigeons and eggs on display. With competitions for Pigeons & Poultry. Tuesday – Rabbit display Wednesday – Pigeon classes Thursday – Egg show

Cattle Dairy cows and beef cattle are paraded around the rings in a bid to claim the crown of Supreme Champion.

Horses All the action happens in the TopSpec White Rose Ring, Ridings Ring and Main Ring. Don’t miss the prestigious Cock O The North showjumping in the Main Ring on Thursday afternoon.

Goats From kid goats to fully fledged adults, goats of all ages and breeds compete

Hound Show See packs from all over the country compete every day in the Hound Show where there are different breeds on display each day. Tuesday – Harriers and Beagles Wednesday – Foxhounds Thursday – Working Terriers Friday - Bloodhounds & Draghounds

Sheep See a variety of breeds competing for the prestigious title of Supreme Champion

Pigs Some of the country’s finest pigs battle it out for the title of Supreme Champion.

Military Village Have a go activities such as the assault course, shooting range, climbing wall, information, armoured vehicles and fundraising stands.

The Sheep Show Watch this humorous, educational live stage show about sheep and wool as nine different breeds are introduced on stage, including dancing sheep! Performances take place four times each day.

Wrought Ironworks Demonstrations showing you how these wonderful products can be made using age-old traditional methods.

Based in the former fashion show building, which is sponsored by Daniel Thwaites and hosted by Christine Talbot. Christine will host a chat show with a different farming celebrity each day including: Countryfile presenter Adam Henson (Tuesday), JB Gill from boy band JLS (Wednesday), TV host Matt Baker MBE (Thursday) Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen (Friday) and Peter Wright of The Yorkshire Vet (every day at 1:30).
