EUROPEAN OTTER
LOCATION
The European otter lives in Europe and Asia.
HABITAT
It lives in rivers in forest areas,with vegetations at the sides.
POPULATION
Is decreasing in all Europe, and it has dissapeared in many areas since the 1960
DESCRIPTION
It is 57 to 79 cm and it is middle-sized. It weighs 7 to 12 kg. It has got cream coloured fur. It has got small ears, and whiskers all around its snout.
FOOD HABITS
Mainly it eats fish, but it can also eat crustaceans, amphibians and insects.
REPRODUCTION
The european otter, gives birth to one to four pups, after 60 days of pregnancy.
