What about the next one?

Our Palermo Pride 2016

In 2016 we participated without dedicated founds, so or users and volunteers gave vent to their creativity: we painted a car in rainbow colors, and we built a mannequin of a black disabled man and we put it on a wheelchair on the top of the car (that year the topic was migration of bodies). We also made a web-radio programme on-air during the parade! Here some pictures of our participation:

Our Palermo Pride 2015

In 2015 we had the youth exchange BE EUROPEAN - ACT WITH PRIDE, it was focused on Human Rights and we participated to the Palermo Pride to raise social awareness on the defence of Human Rights. Let's have a loook on what the participants organized for it!

Youth Exchange

The EuP participants' will create some social raising awareness strategies

For sure we will have a big wagon with our own music, some banners about the Erasmus+ programme and the EuP project

The topic of the parade for this year is: the body among politics, rights and transformation

It represents the emblem of the will of integration and equality in a city that is the symbol of the cohabitation of different cultures in a land often knew for its cultural backwardness. Its organizers says that it is "an occasion that pushes toward courage, pride and freedom for everybody". And it is intended not just as a gay parade but as a human parade. Who participate? LGBT organizations, political parties, social organization and thousands of common people. Why? • VISIBILITY FOR THE PROJECT AND THE PROGRAMME
• ACTIVE PARTICIPATION OF THE YOUTH IN THE PLANNING AND PREPARATION OF THE ACTIVITIES TO RAISE SOCIAL AWARENESS
• BREAKING DOWN OF STREREOTYPES: people who never participated to a pride and had prejudices about it discovered that is a fun even where you can feel the real atmosphere of equality despite diversity

• SOCIAL AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON INCLUSION OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY
• TESTING THE POSSIBILITY TO BROADCAST WEB-PROGRAMMES IN CONNECTION WITH CORRESPONDENTS FROM SPECIAL EVENTS

Europe is our Pride aims to guide the young participants through a path of analysis of the different facets that #diversity can take in our contemporary reality and of the #prejudices arising there from stimulating them to take concrete actions to promote tolerance and solidarity in the society to realize the motto of European Union: "United in diversity" also in the daily life
