INTRODUCTION

The eproject was created by mthornton and there we can see a good way to deal with simple machines in class with our students.This web profile has also other useful projects regarding different subject areas.

The presentation aims at evaluating this eproject: Simple Machines

The project is created with LiveBinders, a nice tool to organize your resources and share them with other people. It is education centred so it helps anybody find the suitable way to present any work such a lesson, a portfolio or a project like in this case.

There are several links to online games where children can use their knowldege regarding simple machines to sort out problems.

The project shows an interesting and funny video to learn how simple machines work.

However, the multimedia resources are not the core features of this project. The cuantity of them is quite limited.

This project offers several links to work on the content by different ways.

Nevertheless, in some cases the project might be confusing when following the proposed activities.

The fact of presenting games makes the lesson more attractive and hel some children to strengthen that learning.

The project shows several worksheets, lessons and activities, but all of them could be decribed as traditional activities.

We miss a higher importance of experiments, realia and creative lessons which make the students think beyond the content.

There is not a great variety of resources. The vast majority is text.

This is a good project to work on simple machines.

There is a lack of innovative resources and new ways to deal with the content.

It provides us with a lot of information and explanations.

There are some games and videos to support the learning process.

The project does not take into account students with special educational needs.
