Evaluating of a CLIL eproject: CHEF OF VOLUME

Multimedia

Contents are coherent because they are align with the topic. Some sections are a little confusing, you need time and patience to find everything without losing.

Quality content

A lot of attractive and motivating multimedia features (videos in YouTube, audios, links, portals to other webs...). Contents are corrected licence.

Well adaptated for people with special needs (letters of the web).

Accessibility

The sources have a good tonality and size. The activities do not show inclusive practise.

INNOVATION AND ORIGINALITY

The web includes original content. Some publications are very interesting with very visual and beautiful tools to create them. All publications have audios for people with vision problems to hear them.

THINGS TO IMPROVE....

1. You need time to understand the situation and find the entries on the web, because they are a little confusing. 2. In some publications, the source is totally diferent.

KEY KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING AND SUCCESS SKILLS

  • In this project, the students create their own key knowledge, in groups or individually, with presentations.
  • They make up their critical thinking and problem solving.

CHALLENGING PROBLEM AND SUSTAINED INQUIRY

The project based on solving a geometric problem. Children have to complete the missions that teacher proposes them. This project offers the possibility of fostering active participation.

AUTHENTICITY AND REFLECTION

There is a mix of three real-world contexts (Maths-geometry, cooking and ICT). This project help to students to reflect on their mistakes, developing their imagination, thinking why cooking is important, while they are learning.

PUBLIC PRODUCT

Children can present their creations all the children through public online tools such as “Powtoon”.

Some products to publish them with the project

THINGS TO IMPROVE....

1. The previous knowledge of students is not taken into account. 2. The role of the teacher and his/her part of explanation of the new content is not mentioned in detail. 3. The evaluation is a little subjective because the teacher can evaluate the works and not the knowledge about the content learnt. 4. It should detail if interactive tools that will be used, should be explained so that students can use them.
