MASS TOURISM

Mass tourism is when there is a lot of tourists to a destination who can give a cool reception and take care of them. Tourists often go to places like Mallorcca.Cancun and Pattaya. We think that objectives are to take care of tourists and to earn money in the same time. Tourists and workers are the people who are linked with mass tourism. There are pros like more employment, development of infrastructures, roads, stations, local government riches, sharing of cultures...And there are also many cons.

HUMANITARIAN TOURISM

The humanitarian tourism is to help poor countries and to recruit the person to develop the long-lasting and in a same time to discover new cultures. At first, we have done the travel during two weeks to help local communities and to develop the long-lasting. And next, we went to Brazil and we placed voluntary people in Rio de Janeiro during 15 days to help the children less than 6 years old. After that, the communities of Peru, we have placed the women doing cooking in this village. The other destination is Madagascar, the intervention is to help and preserve endemic species in rural areas and plant tress and to educate the residents about the environment. And then, we went to Senegal to build affordable housing. The objectives of this form of tourism are the strengthening of the economy of the country, the purpose here would be to help the young children for their education and their schooling to make decrease the unemployment in these countries but also to feed poor population. At the level of the environment, the objective is to develop the sustainable development by informing these people about the objectives to come. The people linked to this form of tourism are voluntary people, that is they mainly have to help the people and realize the objectives planned by associations before taking avantage of their holidays. In counterpart, they will not be paid. The advantages to participate in this form of tourism are many. First of all, they help people in different countries and they do not pay. The advantages at the economical level and for the future are that they can widen towards other horizons, the services for the other people and many of the others. But it is also a good point for the job because the bosses of these volunteers shall see that they have participated in a humanitarian organization. It is also very interesting at the cultural level to discover the new local culture. There are really not inconveniences in this form of tourism except if we leave for mission, we are far from our family.

WWOOFING

Wwoofing is a new form of tourism. WWOOF is an organisation which helps the travellers to communicate with farmers all around the world. If you are a member of WWOOF, you can go to foreign countries to work in a farm 4/6 hours a day. In Australia you can go wherever you want: in a sheep station, in outback Western Australia, in a yoga centre in Sydney, in an artist's retreat in Queensland. The objective of this form of tourism is first to travel with a limited budget. Thanks to that you can go to very far destinations. It develops international tourism, in order to meet new people who also travel alone. Finally it allows us to have a break during a long journey. We cannot deny that you do not have to pay food and housing while you must work 4 to 6 hours a day without an income so you have less time to visit and you can be tired. To be a member of WWOOF it is really easy: you have to pay 7.000 $, to be more than 18 and have a tourist visa.According to us it is a good way to travel if you have not a big budget and if you are alone; it is a good experience but maybe if you need a rest, it is not the best form of tourism.

GAP YEAR

First, a gap year is to stop your studies during 1 year before or after university (so before the A-level or degree)Student takes a gap year to break in their studies or to see the world and often, for instance, to help an orphanage as a volunteer to help peple in poor countries. Then, the most important destinations of gappers are Australia and New Zealand, but some people go to India to bachpack, some go to Mexico and other go to Thailand to relax on the beach. Moreover, there are many advantages and disavantages in a gap year; for example you learn many things for the trip, you encounter people and it is an unforgettable experience for your future but you can't see your family, you can be sick or get a food poisoning and it can be difficult to find an accomodation. In addition a Gap Year is really expensive.Even a gap year is a form of tourism, we think that relaxing on the beach is not prolific but you can be useful to others people and help like assistants. When you volunteer, you can discover the world and be useful in the same time

ETHICAL TOURISM

The Ethical Tourism means thinking about the consequences of the tourism on environment, economy and cultures. Ethical Tourism is like "ecotourism". In addition, this tourism can be made all around the world. The objectives of this tourism are to thrive of our holidays' destination without destroying the places and to learn about different cultures. That's why Ethical Tourism is just for specific people. Person who loves environment, discovering new cultures, meeting new friends and seeing wild animals is perfect for this sort of tourism. On one hand, Ethical Tourism presents several advantages. Thanks to this form of tourism we can discover new things like local gastronomy, local outfits, wild animals... In addition, we can also improve our language's skills with everyday's life and we can participate to the income of the destination. On the other hand, there are also several disavantages. One of them is if we eat local food, it can be strange or spicy. Moreover, if we wear local outfits we can think we are ridiculous. And then, when we practice this sort of tourism we have to use eco-friendly transport which can be unpleasant.
